Meet the Artist

Qian Dubay

My love affair with art started in kindergarten, when my grandma, Virginia, taught me how to draw my first rose. All through childhood, my head was tucked into my sketchbook. Just as much as I loved creating, I loved sharing the joy of art with others. I'll never forget excitedly sharing my homemade coloring book depicting fairy sketches with all my neighborhood friends.

As a young adult, I fell in love with coalition building and organizing for causes close to my heart. After two terms serving in Americorps - Public Allies, I gained the confidence and expertise to blend my love of art with my aim to make a positive impact.

Today, you'll find that many of my projects are inspired by those efforts; trying to make a difference in a small corner of the community a few brush strokes at a time. Although the themes may differ, from educational murals to public art to sensory rooms, one thing is for sure... there is love in every piece.

Let’s Collaborate!

I believe that art is a powerful catalyst for social change…. and social change doesn’t happen without collaboration. I love working alongside other artists, educators, and community members.

Want to create something together?

Let’s make an educational zine. Let’s make some garden art. Let’s make some protest signs! I’m down to hear your ideas and see where art and action can take us.
